- Hit Stop (or press Space) when the marker is inside the green zone.
- Clear it and the zone shrinks and speeds up. One miss ends the run.

Stop the Bar is a one-button timing arcade where a marker bounces left and right across a track and you must stop it inside a green target zone. Clear a round and the zone shrinks while the marker speeds up, so every round is tighter and faster than the last. Miss once and the run is over. Your score is the number of rounds you survive.
Controls are dead simple: click, tap, or hit the Space bar to stop the marker. There is no aiming or strategy beyond pure timing and nerve — the challenge is holding your focus as the window narrows to a sliver. The first few rounds feel easy; somewhere around round eight the zone is so thin and the marker so fast that a perfect stop feels almost impossible.
It is a test of reaction timing and anticipation. Rather than reacting the instant the marker enters the zone (too slow at high speeds), top players learn to predict and pre-commit, tapping a hair early so the input lands right on target. Play in short bursts, keep your eyes on the zone rather than the marker, and submit your best run to the global ranking or send a challenge link to dare a friend to beat your round count.
